Don’t take your cleaners for granted

If a commercial cleaning business is taking care of your office cleaning, industrial cleaning, medical centre cleaning or body corporate cleaning it can be easy to take the cleaning staff for granted. However, there are some basic questions you may wish to consider that may influence your decision of choosing a cleaning service provider:
- Are they covered by insurance?
- Are they being paid at the market rate?
- Do they receive the basic entitlements of superannuation, sick leave, annual leave, etc?
- Do they look as if they belong to the cleaning business?
- Do you see the same faces day after day?
If you have any concerns about any of the above you should enter into a discussion with the commercial cleaning business providing the service. You do not want to be party to unscrupulous business practices that may affect your reputation if they are unearthed.
